Tabs Main Element

Information

The tabs component can be used to convey lots of information that are sectioned to the users. This allows for more content to be neatly displayed instead of having lengthy pages that require endless scrolling. The Tabs component also accepts rich-content to be included into the Tab's Content panel. Examples of this can be seen below.

To increase the flexibility of this component, when there are more tabs than the window size can handle, a More tab will be added with all of the tabs that can't be displayed added into it as a dropdown menu.

When the window is resized to a smaller breakpoint such as that of Mobile or Tablet devices, all tabs are then converted into a dropdown menu so that users can still navigate and select their intended content panel. Try resizing the window to get an example of how this works!

General Notes

The Tabs List Item have [data-target] attributes which refer to the corresponding element in which the tab title should display. Please ensure that these are correctly assigned.

Tab Component Options

The stepper option that has been built has several options that can be used to apply the stepper component. These include the following:

mobileBreakpoint: At which breakpoint the tabs components should display the dropdown. Accepts integer values. Default '768'
tabHeaderClass: The parent class of the tabs title. Default '.__mst_tab_header'
tabListClass: The tab title list class. Default '.__mst_tab_list'
tabItemClass: The tab title list item class. Default '.__mst_tab_list_item'
responsizeTabs: Whether or not to display dropdown menu on smaller breakpoints. Default 'true'
moreButtonContent: This is the content for the more button which can be changed to use another icon. Accepts escaped HTML values. Default '<span class="__mst_tabs_dropdown_title">More</span> <i class="mericon-angle-down"></i>'
